2025年1月13日（月・祝）、ASCENT-6Eプログラムに参加する一部の受講生が、埼玉県和光市にある理化学研究所和光キャンパスを訪問します。このイベントは、理化学研究所 数理創造プログラム（Interdisciplinary Theoretical and Mathematical Sciences Program, 以下略称 iTHEMS）の基礎科学特別研究員であるJosé先生が企画・主催しています。

iTHEMSは、理論科学・数学・計算科学の研究者が分野の枠を超えて連携し、基礎研究を推進する国際研究拠点です。「数理」を軸とした分野横断的なアプローチを通じて、宇宙・物質・生命の解明や社会課題の解決に取り組んでいます。

当日は、受講生たちが最先端の研究施設を見学するとともに、iTHEMSで活躍する研究者との交流活動を行います。多様な分野で活躍する研究者との意見交換を通じて、数理科学の魅力を直接体感する貴重な機会となります。

On Monday, January 13, 2025, students participating in the ASCENT-6E program will visit RIKEN’s Wako Campus in Saitama Prefecture. The visit is organized and hosted by Dr. José, a Special Postdoctoral Researcher at the Interdisciplinary Theoretical and Mathematical Sciences Program (iTHEMS) at RIKEN.

iTHEMS is an international research program that brings together researchers from theoretical, mathematical, and computational sciences to collaborate across disciplines. By breaking down traditional boundaries between fields, iTHEMS aims to tackle fundamental questions about the Universe, matter, and life, while addressing pressing societal challenges through innovative interdisciplinary approaches.
